Survivors include her children, Benjamin Turner (Barbara) Cook, Jr. Having devoted most of her life to family, she turned to educating herself by getting her GED and completing most of a college education via correspondence with Liberty University. Her faith and her family were the most important parts of her life. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, tatten, and crocheted tablecloths for each of her eight granddaughters. Her cakes were a family favorite, especially her fruit cakes. She made the best biscuits and cinnamon rolls. Beatrice was a homemaker and partner in the family farm with husband Turner, to whom she was married for 51 years. She was the last living member of Liberty Baptist Church. Beatrice was born August 22, 1926, to the late John Mitchell Overstreet and Lily Pearl Britt Overstreet in White Plains, GA. Bessie Beatrice Overstreet Cook, 95 of Dixie passed away Saturday, at Presbyterian Home Quitman.
